Our Salinas Organics Processing Facility

Circular Services operates a coast-to-coast network of composting facilities, including a long-standing site in partnership with the Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority. Located at the Johnson Canyon Landfill in Gonzales, CA, this facility processes up to 50,000 tons per year of organic material, including green waste, food waste, and wood waste. Curbside organics and other source-separated waste streams are initially processed using our sort-line technology to remove contaminants on the front end. Clean materials are then ground, mixed, and loaded into aerated static piles for composting. After approximately 45 days, the composted material is screened, and high-quality finished product is sold into local markets.
