Our Sarasota Materials Recovery Facility

Our Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Sarasota opened in 2019 as Florida’s first artificial intelligence (AI) powered recycling facility. It has a 50-ton-per-hour capacity and processes residential and commercial single stream material, serving Sarasota County and several surrounding municipalities.

The facility achieved a Gold Certification from the Glass Recycling Foundation.  It remains one of the most advanced in the country, leveraging several AI-powered robots and optical sorters to optimize bale output quality.
